RCH supported FOSTER + Partners consortium by providing specialist advices on “local culture”, architecture and urban heritage in Al-Balad area, and on the constraints related to the World Heritage status of the Historic City of Jeddah for the development of the Metropolitan stations and lines.
RCH took part in design workshops in London and meetings with the client in Jeddah, providing the design team with historic documentation and heritage-related informations on the city and its architecture.
RC Heritage was also in charge of the coordination with the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and UNESCO World Heritage Centre to monitor the impact of the metro design on the World Heritage property.

RCH a soutenu le consortium FOSTER + Partners en donnant des conseils de spécialistes sur la « culture locale », l’architecture et le patrimoine urbain dans la zone de Al-Balad, ainsi que sur les contraintes liées au statut de Patrimoine Mondial de la Ville Historique de Djeddah en vue du développement de stations et lignes dans l’aire métropolitaine.
RCH a participé à des ateliers de design à Londres, ainsi qu’à des rendez-vous avec le client à Djeddah, fournissant à l’équipe des documents historiques et des informations sur le patrimoine de la ville et de son architecture.
RC Heritage était aussi en charge de la coordination avec le Centre du Patrimoine Mondial de l’UNESCO et la Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities afin de surveiller l’impact du design du métro sur le site du Patrimoine Mondial.
