Le Plan d'Action a été conçu comme document complémentaire du dossier de candidature pour l'inscription sur la Liste du Patrimoine mondial Khor Dubai, soumis par les Emirats Arabes Unis en janvier 2013.
Le Plan d'Action a été élaboré par RC Heritage en étroite collaboration avec le Architectural Heritage Department en charge de la gestion du site et avec les autres départements concernés de la Municipalité de Dubai.
Le Plan d'Action met en évidence le travail effectué, notamment dans le domaine de la gestion du site candidat et de sa zone tampon.
Le Document présente les inititatives et les actions pour la préservation du site, les réformes administratives déjà réalisées sur le terrain et le développement d'une stratégie pour le tourisme culturel capable de répondre aux attentes de l'UNESCO.
Il détaille en particulier les études préliminaires pour la création d'un Centre d'Accueil des visiteurs dans le quartier de Shindhagha, près du Khor, et les activités sociales et culturelles pour la mise en valeur du site.
The Action Plan was prepared as an independant volume completing the Nomination File for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List of Khor Dubai.
RC Heritage has developed the Action Plan in close coordination with the Architectural Heritage Department, in charge of the daily management of the property, and with the other concerned departments of Dubai Municipality.
The Action Plan demonstrates the efforts paid and the improvements achieved in the management of the historic city. It presents the initiatives and actions for the preservation of the nominated property and the administrative reforms already implemented on site, paying a particular attention to the development of a cultural tourism strategy capable to meet the UNESCO requirements.
Notably, the Action Plan details the preliminary studies for the creation of a Visitors' Centre in the Shindagha neighbourhood, along the creek, and the new outreach activities for the promotion of the site.
